As a qualified accountant working in product, I have a simple test for new technology: “Does it make an important job easier to complete?”

That test has guided the delivery of Corpay AI in the UK.

Finance questions often start simply: "What did we spend? Which card transactions are missing receipts? What is waiting for approval? Has a supplier payment been made?". The answer may sit in a report, an approval queue or a transaction record, so reaching it can take longer than the question itself.

Corpay AI is designed to shorten that journey.

A simple idea: Ask, See, Act

At the centre of the experience for this launch is our AI-powered Virtual Assistant.

Users can ask questions about card spend, expenses, supplier payments and approvals. The Virtual Assistant then helps surface the relevant information, report or task.

The experience follows three simple steps:

Ask: Start with a question about card activity, expenses, invoices, supplier payments or approvals.

See: Surface the relevant spend information, report or task that needs attention.

Act: Review the result and confirm the appropriate next step.

That last point is important. Finance professionals remain responsible for the decisions they make. They review the information and confirm any available action.

The benefits of our Virtual Assistant for card payments' management

For finance teams, the benefit is simple: start with a question and move straight to the relevant card activity, report or approval task.

That can help teams understand spend by department, find transactions with missing receipts, see expense reports awaiting review and locate Cards requiring approval.

The Virtual Assistant brings items into view, helping teams focus their attention, follow up on outstanding activity and progress approvals with less manual navigation across the platform.

For example, a user could ask, “Which card transactions are missing receipts?” and review the relevant results without first searching for the right report or queue.

Corpay Cards already help businesses link spend to teams and budgets, apply cardholder limits and view card activity. Corpay AI and its Virtual Assistant creates a more direct route into the information that supports those processes.

Support for Accounts Payable teams

For me, it was important to ensure that this also helped AP teams. They have a slightly different need and role. AP handles a continuous flow of invoices, supplier payments and approvals and so processes can become quite complex for them.

By surfacing invoices awaiting review, supplier payment status and approval workflow information, the Virtual Assistant can help AP teams identify outstanding work and move tasks forward with less searching.

A user could ask, “Which invoices are pending approval this week?” and move directly to the relevant items for review and follow-up.

Why this matters to me

Having led the UK delivery of Corpay AI and our Virtual Assistant, I am proud of what we have built and the collaboration behind it.

This capability is designed around the questions finance teams already ask and the work they already need to complete.

That may sound simple, but good product work often comes down to making important tasks clearer and easier to complete.

My view is that the most useful AI starts with the job someone is trying to do.

For Corpay AI, that means helping finance teams see what matters, find the task that needs attention and move work forward with confidence.

Making a connected platform easier to use

Corpay connects Cards, Expenses, International Payments and Accounts Payable in one complete platform.

Corpay AI helps make that connected experience easier to navigate. A user can start with a question, surface the relevant information and confirm the next step.

That is the direction we are excited about: practical support for everyday finance work, delivered within the tools finance teams already use.

One platform. Easy payments. Spend control.
